DAY6’s Entire New EP Charts On The Korean Sales Ranking
South Korean boy band DAY6 has been going strong for half a decade now, and they’re no strangers to chart success in their home country of South Korea…but this week may be one of the best yet of their time together.
As their new EP The Book of Us: Negentropy debuts at No. 3 on the Gaon Albums chart, all seven tracks featured on the set find their way to the Gaon Download list, which ranks the bestselling individual songs in South Korea every week.
While they may be one of the most successful names on the Gaon Download chart this week, DAY6 doesn’t quite break into the top 10, and only two of their cuts manage to appear inside the highly competitive top 40. All seven tracks almost found space inside the top 50, but a few start just below that line.
Up first among the bunch is new single “You Make Me,” which launches at lucky No. 13. It’s the only top 20 from the EP, at least so far.
DAY6’s only other top 40 hit on this week’s Gaon Download chart, “Healer,” kicks off its time on the sales-only list at No. 39, barely sneaking into the space.
Just three other tracks from The Book of Us: Negentropy start inside the top 50, the highest quarter on the 200-rung ranking. “Above The Clouds” and “Only” begin back-to-back, opening at Nos. 46 and 47, respectively, Next up is “Everyday We Fight,” which enters the race at No. 50.
