McGregor and Poirier first faced off in September 2014 at the featherweight limit of 145 pounds. McGregor won that contest by TKO at 1:46 of the first stanza.
The closing odds for the first meeting between the two saw McGregor enter the UFC octagon as the -260 favorite over Poirier, who was the +215 underdog.
The second meeting between the two took place in January of this year at UFC 257. The second meeting between the two took place at the lightweight limit of 155 pounds. Poirier walked away with the victory after he finished the fight via TKO at 2:32 of Round 2.
McGregor was a bigger favorite at the start of the rematch. He was -333, while Poirier was the +245 underdog.
The early odds for the trilogy fight are much closer. McGregor opened as a -175 favorite over Poirier, who was a +150 underdog. With the fight approaching, the odds have evened and both fighters are listed at -115.
